SLAs are intentionally separated. Priority/SBD is for revenue-impacting or safety-adjacent outages that cannot wait overnight. NBD is the workhorse tier for degradations and standard break/fix that can close the next business day. 2BD IMAC is for planned change: desk moves, device swaps, imaging waves, and staged rollouts where a two-business-day window is enough. Mixing these tiers incorrectly is the most common way teams overspend — Priority tickets used for work that is really IMAC inflate cost without improving outcomes.
T&M versus FTE answers a different question: are you buying effort or capacity? T&M hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly SKUs fit audits, migrations, and surges with a visible burn rate. FTE (with or without backfill) fits sites that need a standing engineer presence. Convert from T&M to FTE once utilization stays high for several consecutive weeks; convert back when the surge ends.
OOH and weekend uplifts are multipliers, not separate products. When work falls outside local business hours, the after-hours uplift applies on top of the base SKU; weekends and public holidays apply the weekend/holiday uplift.
